Crazy Mountain 100

The Crazy Mountain 100 is a point to point 100 mile mountain ultramarathon in the Crazy Mountain Range near Wilsall and Lennep, Montana. The race is listed as a qualifier for Hardrock and Western States.

The course gains roughly 23,000 feet of elevation and reaches elevations near 10,200 feet. Terrain is primarily single track with sections of two track, occasional forest service road, and long stretches with no trail. The route includes technical ascents and descents, scree fields, jagged cliffs, high alpine lakes, and areas described as having extreme exposure.

Two family owned cattle ranches host the start and finish. The Westling Ranch in Wilsall hosts the start and the Berg Ranch in Lennep hosts the finish. The course also crosses two other private ranch properties that provide aid station access and route connections. The event traverses Indigenous lands of the Apsaalooke, known locally as Awaxaawippíia, along with private and public forest service land.

The race organizer is a local cattle rancher with experience in ultrarunning and race operations. The event offers hand engraved finisher buckles. Entry is listed at $435, and total fees on the registration platform are shown as $466.77. Entry is capped at 200 runners.
