Coz's Backyard Ultra

Coz's Backyard Ultra is a timed backyard-style race on May 30, 2026 at the Trenton Fish and Game Club in Holland Patent, NY. The format requires runners to complete a loop each hour; runners who miss the hourly cutoff are removed. The event has a 30 hour limit; organizers will keep the event open for the final runner if that person elects to continue toward 100 miles or the 30-hour mark.

The loop is a 3 1/3 mile trail course with about 200 feet of elevation gain per lap. The course runs on non-technical hiking and ski trails through pine and hardwood stands and includes rolling double track plus an out-and-back dirt road section. Each runner is assigned a personal 12' x 12' area near the starting line.

Organizers provide live online tracking and basic aid offerings during the event, including water, Mapleaid, fruit, candy, chips, pickles, coffee, and evening pizza for those still running. A communal aid station table is part of the event; participants are invited to contribute food items and organizers suggest bringing personal cups to reduce waste.
