The Copper Kings 100 is a 100 mile loop ultramarathon held June 26-27, 2026, in Butte, Montana. The course starts and ends at the Belmont Mine. Pre-race activities, including bib pickup and a mandatory briefing, are scheduled the day before the event. The race has a 40-hour overall cutoff and includes a fully inclusive field with a nonbinary division. Registration opens December 7, 2025.

Course details and other information

The loop includes 63 miles of the Continental Divide Trail. Elevation at the start is 5,650 ft, the highest point on course is 8,400 ft, and the course has a total of 13,960 ft of vertical gain and loss. Much of the route is above 6,500 ft, and some aid stations are separated by long stretches, with the longest segment over 17 miles.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Our Lady of the Rockies, Mile High Nordic Ski Education Foundation, and the Continental Divide Trail Coalition. The event is permitted by the United States Forest Service, Butte-Silver Bow County, Jefferson County, and the Montana Department of Transportation. The organizer’s withdrawal policy offers tiered refunds: 75% refund 90+ days out, 50% at 60–89 days, 25% at 30–59 days, and no refund less than 30 days; pregnancy-related requests are eligible for a full UltraSignup race credit valid for two years. Run 14K along the Continental Divide Trail near Butte Montana, passing rocky formations and sweeping high country vistas. Held near the summer solstice, the CDT 14K supports trail upkeep and local youth running programs.
