Circle Endurance Event - Ringgold, GA

The Circle Endurance Event is a timed track endurance competition held at Ringgold High School in Ringgold, GA. It is a USATF sanctioned event that offers multiple timed formats on a turf track where competitors complete as many laps as possible within each time limit.

Distances and formats include:

  • 24 Hour
  • 12 Hour
  • 6 Hour
  • 3 Hour

Official scoring is based on total laps completed; each lap counts as 0.25 miles toward the final distance. Final results reflect laps finished within the event time limit. Participants are responsible for their own food and hydration. Volunteers will staff an aid station with drinks and snacks, but competitors must provide their primary hydration system because this is a cup free event. Littering on the course may result in disqualification.

Runners may have crew support every lap from a designated infield area near the start line. Pacers are not permitted unless they are registered participants. Participants may set up a small pit area or tent but must not use tent stakes on the turf; tents should be weighted.

Courtesy rules emphasize inside lane access for all runners and single file running in the inner lanes to allow safe passing. Awards include top three male and female finishers per distance, masters and grandmasters, and special distance awards such as a 100 mile belt buckle for the 24 hour distance. The event is part of the Chattanooga Ultra Championship series, which groups this race with other Chattanooga endurance events for additional awards.
