Circle Endurance Event 3, 6, 12, 24 Hour

The Circle Endurance Event is a multi-hour track running competition held at Ringgold High School in Ringgold, Georgia. The event is USATF sanctioned and offers the following time-based races:

  • 3 Hour
  • 6 Hour
  • 12 Hour
  • 24 Hour

Competitors circle the track repeatedly and final results are determined by the total number of laps completed within each race time limit. Each completed lap is credited as 0.25 miles; participants should expect their watch to show a higher mileage than the official track mileage. The event operates as a cup-free race, so runners must bring their own hydration systems. Volunteers provide an aid station with drinks and snacks, but runners are responsible for their own food and hydration. Littering on the course can result in disqualification.

Crew support is permitted every lap from a designated infield area near the start line. Pacers are allowed only if they are registered participants. Courtesy rules require single file running in inside lanes to allow safe passing. Small personal pit areas and small tents are allowed on the turf but no tent stakes; tents must be weighed down. A designated area exists for small RVs and car camping near the stadium.

Prizes include top three male and female finishers in each distance plus masters and grandmasters awards. Special recognitions are awarded for 50K in the 6 hour, 50 miles in the 12 hour, and 100 miles in the 24 hour, with a 100 mile belt buckle noted for the 24 hour result. The event is part of the Chattanooga Ultra Championship series, which recognizes participation and cumulative mileage across three specified events.
