Chase the Cougar 5K is a Run/Walk held in Somerset, Pennsylvania, on the grounds of the Somerset Historical Center at 10649 Somerset Pike. The cross country course was engineered by Dave Mapes. Proceeds benefit the North Star Cross Country team.
Preregistration includes a race T‑shirt, and shirts will be available on race day while supplies last for late entrants. The event awards top male and female finishers and includes age-group categories from under 12 to 70+. The overall atmosphere combines community support for local athletes with a traditional cross country-style course in a historic setting.
