Carnegie Harriers Devilla Forest 15 and 5
Carnegie Harriers will stage trail races on Sunday 8 February 2026 in Devilla Forest, with both races starting and finishing within the grounds of the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan, Kincardine, Fife. Two distances are offered:
- 15k (approximately 9 miles)
- 5k (approximately 3.1 miles)
Both races are held under UK Athletics rules and Scottish Athletics licences. The 2026 routes have been revised to use smaller tracks and paths and to provide improved underfoot conditions across the forest. Routes are waymarked and marshalled at junctions; competitors must follow marshal instructions. As Devilla is a working forest, routes may be altered before or on the day for safety or weather reasons.
The 15k is a largely clockwise loop passing Moor Loch, Peppermill Dam and the Keir Burn, and includes varied surfaces and sheltered woodland. There is a water station at about 7k and runners not reaching this point within an hour will be timed out and withdrawn. The 5k follows a scenic out and back route along the north side of Moor Loch, mainly on forest roads with a short section of tarmac inside the college grounds. Dogs are not permitted.
Entries are pre-entry only and the entry window closes 4 February 2026. Entry fees are £20 for Scottish Athletics members and £22 for non-members for the 15k, and £12 and £14 respectively for the 5k. Transfers between entrants are permitted up to the closing date but refunds are not offered. Race numbers and timing chips are collected on race day from the Games Hall within the Recreation Block. Facilities include on-site car parking, changing and showering in the Recreation Hall, a water point on course and post-race refreshments. All finishers receive a bespoke medal, prizes are awarded across age categories, and results are chip timed and published shortly after the event.
