Devilla Forest 15k and 5k Trail Races : 14 February 2027
Carnegie Harriers will hold two trail races on 14 February 2027 with start and finish in the grounds of the Scottish Police College at Tulliallan, Kincardine FK10 4BE. The routes use the new courses introduced in 2026, making more use of smaller tracks and paths within Devilla Forest and improving underfoot conditions.
Key distances
- 15k approximately 9 miles, a clockwise loop using forest roads, paths and tracks.
- 5k approximately 3.1 miles, an out and back route along the north side of the Moor Loch.
Both routes are marshalled and well marked at junctions. The majority of each course is on forest roads and tracks; trail shoes are recommended and ordinary trainers may be acceptable in dry conditions. Dogs are not permitted.
Age limits follow UK Athletics rules: entrants must be at least 17 years old for the 15k and 13 years old for the 5k. There is a water station at 7k on the 15k route; runners not reaching this point within an hour will be withdrawn. Entry is pre entry only with no entries on race day. Transfers between races are allowed up to 7 February 2027; refunds are not offered.
Facilities include ample parking within the college grounds, changing and showering at the Recreation Hall, and refreshments and post race snacks at the finish. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and prizes will be awarded in age categories. Both races are chip timed and results will be published after the event.
