Cape to Cliff Beach Run 2026
The event takes place at Mavillette Beach in Clare, Nova Scotia. All races start and finish in the center of the beach, between the first parking lot at civic 395 and the middle parking lot at civic 336. Due to recent tidal damage the usual middle entrance stairs are inaccessible; use the first entrance near the bridge at civic 395 and walk a short distance to the start and finish area.
Several distance options are offered across varied terrain including sand, gravel, and pavement. Key route details:
- 4 km entirely on the tidal sands of Mavillette Beach, footwear optional, out and back.
- 6 km beach to Eagles Cliff and back, then up to the Cape St Mary water stop and return.
- 8 km follows the 6 km route with an extension to the panoramic Cape St Mary Lighthouse.
- 10 km includes beach and cliff sections, the lighthouse and the Cape View boat water stop before returning.
All participants receive a t shirt and a medal. A photographer will be onsite throughout the event. Participant entries are capped at 150. Deadline to request a t shirt is Sunday June 21. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
