Cannonball Run
The Cannonball Run is held from April 10 to 12, 2026, at Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. The event features multiple formats: a Last Man Standing competition, a 34-hour race, a kids registration for ages 14 and under, and a ruck division.
Event Formats
- Last Man Standing: Runners complete a 3.3-mile loop every 48 minutes until one participant remains, who then runs a final solo lap.
- 34-Hour Race: Participants can start anytime during the event period, except for Last Man Standing runners. No minimum distance is required to finish.
- Kids Registration: Available for participants aged 14 and younger.
- Ruck Division: Requires carrying weights based on body weight.
Course Details
The course is a 3.3-mile loop that winds through dirt roads, double-track trails, and grassy sections. Each loop has approximately 49 feet of elevation gain. The looped design returns runners to the start/finish area with access to an aid station and their gear.
Accommodations and Amenities
Primitive camping is included with registration, providing access to a bathhouse with toilets and showers. An aid station at the start/finish line offers snacks, and meals are served throughout the weekend for runners and volunteers.
Awards
All participants who complete at least one loop receive a custom medal. Runners achieving 100 miles or more earn a buckle. The Last Man Standing winner receives an engraved cannonball trophy. Top performers in the 34-hour race and ruck division are also awarded.
