Cannonball Run at Broxton Bridge Plantation

The Cannonball Run takes place April 9 to 11, 2027 at Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina. The event features a looped trail course used for multiple formats, including a 34 hour race, a Last Man Standing format, and a youth entry option for runners 14 and under.

The course is a 3.3 mile loop that follows dirt roads, double-track trails, and maintained grassy sections. Each loop has about 49 feet of elevation gain. The start/finish area hosts a single fully stocked aid station; runners are expected to carry any supplies they will need during the loop between aid stops.

Last Man Standing runners must complete each 3.3 mile loop within 48 minutes to remain in the race. The race gives 5, 2, and 1 minute warnings before each new loop. When only one runner remains, that runner completes a final solo lap. Runners who exit receive credit for distance completed and may transfer into the 34 hour event.

Primitive camping with access to a bathhouse is included for all entrants. RV sites and on property bed and breakfast rooms are available through Broxton Bridge. Packet pickup times are to be determined. Awards include a medal for anyone who completes at least one loop, a buckle for 100+ miles, an engraved cannonball for the Last Man Standing winner, and podium awards in several divisions.

The organizer is Palmetto Ultras. The event proceeds rain or shine. Refunds are not offered but bib transfer, optional insurance, and a pregnancy deferral policy are available. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
