Cannonball Run

Cannonball Run is a trail event at Broxton Bridge Plantation in Ehrhardt, South Carolina, presented by The Foot Store and managed by Palmetto Ultras. The event runs across the weekend and offers two main formats: a timed 34 hour race and a Last Man Standing option. Registration closes April 6.

The course is a repeated loop of 3.3 miles that combines dirt roads, double-track trails, and maintained grassy sections. Each loop includes about 49 feet of elevation gain. A single aid station at the start/finish is stocked with snacks and drinks including water, coffee, soda, PBJ, chips, gummy candy, pretzels, and Skratch Hydration Mix. Runners must carry whatever they need during each loop; food service will be available on site for most meals over the weekend. Runners and volunteers eat free; additional meals for guests are available for a fee.

Primitive camping with access to a bathhouse and showers is included for all registered runners. RV sites and two on-property bed and breakfast rooms are available through Broxton Bridge. Packet pickup times are to be determined.

Last Man Standing rules require runners to complete the loop within 48 minutes, with 5, 2, and 1 minute warnings before each lap. Runners not back within the limit are eliminated and receive credit for the miles completed; the final remaining runner completes a solo lap. Last Man Standing entrants may set up near the start corral.

Awards include a custom medal for anyone who completes at least one loop, a buckle for 100 miles or more, an engraved cannonball for the Last Man Standing winner, and top three awards in several divisions. The event proceeds rain or shine; refunds are not offered but bib transfers and a pregnancy or postpartum one year deferral are available per the event policy.
