Canaan Valley Trail Run

The Canaan Valley Trail Run is scheduled for June 27, 2026 in Canaan Valley State Park, West Virginia. The event uses the Promised Land Trail, which starts and finishes directly behind Canaan Valley Resort. The Promised Land Trail loop is approximately 5.9 miles with about 350 feet of elevation gain per loop.

Distances offered:

• 5.9 miles - one loop on the Promised Land Trail.
• 11.8 miles - two loops on the Promised Land Trail.

Registration is open and the field is limited to 200 participants. Awards will be given to the top three male and top three female finishers in each distance, and age group awards are planned for both distances. Packet pickup is scheduled at McClumsy on a Friday evening and a tentative race day pickup is planned for early morning; final details will be confirmed with participants.

All participants receive event apparel and a handmade local finisher medal. Post-race offerings include snacks and beer for guests aged 21 and older. The start, finish, and parking are located at Canaan Valley Resort, which is within walking distance of the course start and finish.
