The Canaan Valley Trail Run is scheduled for Saturday, June 27, 2026. It is the fourth annual event and takes place in Canaan Valley State Park in Tucker County, West Virginia.
Course and Distances
The run takes place on the Promised Land Trail, which starts and finishes directly behind Canaan Valley Resort. The course is a loop approximately 5.9 miles long. Participants can choose between two distances:
- Canaan Valley Trail Run 5.9 Mile (one loop)
- Canaan Valley Trail Run 11.8 Mile (two loops)
Participant Information
All participants receive a finisher medal and a McClumsy T-shirt. Registered participants aged 21 or older also receive a beer. Post-race snacks are provided.
Location and Surroundings
The event is described as a destination trail race. The area is noted for its scenic outdoor opportunities and proximity to Dolly Sods, Canaan Mountain, and Blackwater Falls State Park.
