Brunello Crossing
Brunello Crossing is an event created by a group of sport enthusiasts and people who love the territory of Montalcino. The initiative is presented as more than a single competitive race and includes both competitive and non-competitive formats.
The event offers four distances:
- Trofeo Banfi, competitive, 45 km, ascent 1820 m
- Trofeo Camigliano, competitive, 24 km, ascent 1100 m
- Trofeo Enoteca La Fortezza, competitive, 14 km, ascent 650 m
- Camminata, non-competitive walk, 17.5 km, ascent 750 m
Bib pickup and race kit arrangements are organised at local locations in Montalcino, including the Chiostro del Complesso di Sant'Agostino and Proloco di Sant'Angelo scalo; walking participants receive a voucher for kit collection at the Teatro degli Astrusi in Montalcino.
The event includes the Premio Il Giglio for the best self-produced video. The prize package includes race entry, a double room for the next year's race and a bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Videos must be between 2 and 5 minutes, published on YouTube and submitted by 13 March 2025.
