Broken Goat

Broken Goat is an annual high-alpine trail ultramarathon in British Columbia’s West Kootenay, anchored at Red Mountain Resort near Rossland. Distances include 12 km, 25 km, and 50 km, with longer routes climbing rugged alpine terrain on the Seven Summits trail and ridge lines between Nancy Greene Summit and Red Mountain. The 25 km adds Mount Plewman and Unnecessary Ridge, while the 50 km is a remote point-to-point epic with multiple peaks, generous 360-degree panoramas, and an average elevation around 2000 m.

The event pairs serious racing with a grassroots, family atmosphere, featuring on-mountain dining, live music, and handmade finishes.
