Course, support and rules
The event is high alpine trail running on rugged terrain and includes point-to-point routes for the 25 km and 50 km that use the "7 Summits" trail and ridge lines. The 50 km course reaches Old Glory at 2376 m. Recorded mandatory race briefing and digital waivers are required for all participants. Camping is not available at Red Mountain in 2026.

Aid stations are cup-free; runners must bring a reusable cup or use a hydration pack. Aid station locations act as mandatory checkpoints and some are remote; 50 km runners may access drop bags at Aid #1 and Aid #2. Mandatory gear includes a lightweight jacket and an emergency blanket. Minimum on-start hydration and fuel requirements: 50 km and 25 km runners - 1.5 L fluid and 400 kcal food; 12 km runners - 1 L fluid and 200 kcal food. Crew access is limited to specified locations, pacers are not allowed, and poles are permitted. Shuttles or drop-off are required for the 25 km and 50 km starts. Registration opens November 9.
