Bondi to Manly Ultra : event overview

The Bondi to Manly Ultra returns on Saturday 24 October 2026. The event is a point to point 80 km run along the Bondi to Manly walking track around Sydney Harbour. It follows coastal and harbour trails that pass cliffs, foreshore walks, national parks and city waterfronts.

Race formats available:

The course starts at Bondi Pavilion and finishes at Manly Beach. Key sections include cliff runs near Dover Heights and Watsons Bay, the Hermitage Foreshore Walk into Lyne Park, the harbour foreshore past the Royal Botanic Garden and Sydney Opera House, a crossing of the Sydney Harbour Bridge to Milson Park, coastal trails around Cremorne Point and Bradleys Head, and the Spit to Manly route via North Head Sanctuary.

The route is described in four official legs with distance and elevation gain:

  • First leg: 19 km, 329 m elevation gain, Bondi Beach to Lyne Park.
  • Second leg: 20 km, 360 m elevation gain, Lyne Park to Milson Park.
  • Third leg: 23 km, 326 m elevation gain, Milson Park to Clontarf Reserve.
  • Fourth leg: 18 km, 256 m elevation gain, Clontarf Reserve to Manly Beach; it includes undulating terrain and approaches the finish via Manly Wharf and North Head.
