The Blackout Mountain Race takes place Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Cranmore Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire (239 Skimobile Rd). This is the sixth edition of the race. Distances offered are:

Course and logistics

The course mixes access roads and ski trails and will be marked with reflective flagging and LED lanterns. A tentative course map is available but may change with conditions. Headlamps are required; participants are asked to bring fresh batteries and a backup. Headlamps will be available for purchase at registration.

Day-of registration is available. Check-in and bib pick-up are located under the Run The Whites tent next to the Arlberg Building (Children's Center); bibs include event swag. Organizers request that participants complete the Cranmore waiver before arrival to help speed registration. The schedule includes pizza and apres and an awards presentation. Celebrate the season with the Jackson 5k Turkey Trot and kids 1k on scenic trails in Jackson, New Hampshire. This family friendly event brings the community together while raising funds for Jackson Grammar School and Girls on the Run.

Take on the classic Chocorua Mountain Race, a rugged 23 km trail run through White Mountain terrain with steep climbs and rocky technical summit trails. Expect big elevation gain, self supported aid rules, and sweeping summit views.

Race The Cog invites runners to tackle the Mount Washington summit via the historic Cog Railway tracks on June 20, 2026, with 2.75 or 5.5 mile options. Expect steep, rocky terrain and a summit Cog train return for the shorter course.

Take on Loon Mountain's Upper Walking Boss on July 12 in Lincoln, New Hampshire, a roughly one kilometer black diamond climb that will test every runner. Men, women and U20 categories plus a $1,500 challenge purse raise the stakes.
