Bubba's Backyard Ultra

White Mountain Ski Co is hosting the eighth edition of Bubba's Backyard Ultra in Center Conway, New Hampshire on October 3, 2026. The event uses a last person standing format and is open to participants of all ages and abilities. There is an option to camp on the Friday evening before the event.

The course is a roughly 3.5 mile loop made up mostly of forest singletrack with short sections of snowmobile trail, fields, and logging roads. Each lap has approximately 250 feet of elevation gain. Organizers plan a minimal aid station located midway through the loop and note an effort to reach a 4.167 mile target course length, but the current route reflects trail conditions and the chosen format.

Format details state that each participant must complete the loop within an hour and be present in the starting area before the next lap begins. The race ends when only one person remains in the starting area and that person completes a final lap.

Event logistics include food and social options: sandwiches will be available for lunch on Saturday, burgers (meat and vegetarian) will be grilled Saturday evening with a bonfire, and swag bags will be provided to participants. A Beer Mile is scheduled for Sunday, October 4, as part of the weekend program. The event location is 564 Stark Rd, Center Conway, NH 03813. Entry cost is $175. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
