Birdy's Backyard Ultra

Birdy's Backyard Ultra is a Backyard Ultra event held at Lake Towerrinning, Moodiarrup, Western Australia. The format consists of repeated laps of a 6.71 km loop: runners start a new lap every hour and continue until only one runner remains.

The event takes place at a dedicated lakeside campsite. The caravan park and campground are reserved for the event, and the venue supports both competitors and their supporters sharing the site. Organisers plan for about 200 runners and 400 supporters during the event.

Birdy's is part of Ultra Series Australia and is an early World Series affiliated Backyard event in that series. The event has been associated with recorded Australian performances and has featured documentary coverage. Entries for Birdy's open on Wednesday 1 October 2025.

Support roles are organised through a volunteer register. Registered volunteers receive a 20 percent discount on their next Ultra Series event, and the discount can be accrued or transferred to others in some cases.
