The Bea@ST Trailrun will take place on May 11, 2024, in the Harz Mountains and offers two distance options: 90 km with 2850 meters of elevation gain (HM+) and 54 km with 1800 meters of elevation gain (HM+). The run is not commercially oriented and is designed as a running meet-up among friends. The route goes from Osterode in the Harz Mountains over the Brocken and back, featuring narrow paths, challenging climbs, and 12 or 5 stamping stations of the Harzer Wandernadel (Harz Hiking Pin).
Participants will receive a certificate, a stamp book of the Harzer Wandernadel, and a small supply of refreshments at the finish area. Registration is by invitation, recommendation, or a brief introduction via email. There is a participant limit of a maximum of 40 people and a fee of 54 euros for the 90 km and 35 euros for the 54 km.
The route is 90% forest paths and single trails, is run only with GPS, and requires mandatory equipment as well as one's own provisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
