Bath Skyline
The event comprises off-road races around the Bath Skyline near the University of Bath. It includes night and day races with these distance options:
- 500 m kids run
- 5 km
- 10 km
- canicross wave during the daytime races
Location is West Car Park, University of Bath, BA2 7AY (what3words radio.boom.tooth). Online registration closes on Monday 9th November 2026. Runners are set off in waves of about 100 to spread participants across the course. Minimum ages are 12 for the 5 km and 14 for the 10 km.
The route mixes solid stone paths, woodland trails and open grass meadows, with some puddles and muddy sections. The course is largely flat with a couple of small rises and falls. Routes are comprehensively marked and marshalled; night races use glow sticks and reflective signs and require runners to provide their own head torch.
There is no drinks station on the 5 km and one drinks station on the 10 km. Finish provisions include water and a selection of snacks with gluten free, dairy free and vegan options. Finishers of 5 km and longer receive a large two sided 10 cm x 10 cm medal; fun run medals may vary.
Facilities on site include toilets, a coffee van and a bag drop; there are no changing rooms. Parking for night race entrants is free and day parking is £3 via the JustPark app (location ID 187814). The nearest train station is Bath Spa, about 1.5 miles away. The course is not suitable for buggies. Canicross runners should note one stone stile on the route; multiple dogs are allowed but only one dog per runner is eligible for prizes.
Group discounts are offered for groups of 10 or more. Prize allocation by gender and age group depends on the number of finishers per race distance. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
