The Barrier Island Ultra is a multi-distance running event in Port Aransas, Texas, on November 8, 2025. All races start and finish at the Port A Beachlodge on the beach. The course follows the Gulf of Mexico and is run entirely on sand, with options near the water on hard-packed sand or nearer the road on softer sand. Aid stations are located approximately every 3-5 miles on the out-and-back course. Aid stations provide basic first aid supplies and food and drink, including electrolytes. The event is cupless: cups are not supplied and refillable bottles can be refilled at aid stations. All finishers receive a custom medal and first place male and female in each distance receive awards. A race shirt is guaranteed if registered by October 19, 2025. Registration stays open until the start of each distance unless the race is sold out, and runners may change their distance up until the official race start. The event is part of the Texas Trail Running Eco Series - Eco Challenge. Parking or park entrance fees may apply and are not included in race registration.
