Baker Lake 50k

The Baker Lake 50k is a 31.2 mile trail run held on Saturday October 3rd, 2026, at Kulshan Campground on Baker Lake, Washington. Registration closes October 2nd. The published entry fee is $85 and a race shirt is available for $25.

The course runs through the Mt Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest and follows the east shoreline of Baker Lake on single track and forest trails. The route uses Baker Lake Trail #606 and #610 and crosses the Baker River Suspension Bridge. Trail surfaces include mossy footbridges, log crossings (one with a cable), creek crossings, and rolling climbs and descents. The event lists about 6800 feet of total elevation change, with approximately 3400 feet of ascent and 3400 feet of descent. Vegetation and features along the route include old growth douglas fir stands, burned snags from a historic forest fire, and wildflowers such as western trillium, twinflower, and foamflower.

Aid on the remote trail is limited. Two water only aid stations are listed at roughly miles 5.1 and 10.6 with repeat stations later, while a halfway station near mile 15.6 provides water, sports drink, gel products, snacks, and toilets. Finish area food is provided at the campground.

Parking is available at the start/finish Kulshan Campground; overflow on the road is permitted. The campground is provided free to participants and visitors, has heated restrooms, picnic tables, fire rings, and an RV dump station, but no campsite reservations, electricity at sites, or showers. A single spectator access point on Baker Lake Road requires a forest service pass and uses a partly gravel road. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
