The Baker Lake 50k is a challenging trail ultramarathon held annually in a serene fall setting at Baker Lake, Washington, within the Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest. The 31.2-mile out-and-back course starts and finishes at Kulshan Campground, offering runners a free campsite the night before.
The route features a paved start crossing the Upper Baker Dam, then transitions to gravel and single-track trails along the eastern shoreline of Baker Lake. Runners experience rolling terrain with about 6,800 feet of elevation change, traversing old-growth forests, mossy footbridges, log crossings, and scenic views of Mt. Baker.
