Bacchus Wine Half Marathon & 10K

Bacchus Wine Half Marathon & 10K : Denbies Wine Estate
The event combines a running race with a day focused on award-winning English wine, fine food, fancy dress and music. It stages two distances:
- Half Marathon
- 10K
Organisers describe the event as a professionally run race with an accurate, well-marked course, chip timing, a finisher medal and full medical support. The route weaves through Denbies Vineyard and sections of the North Downs. The course is noted for its scenic views and significant hills, which make fast times difficult. The presence of wine stations and widespread fancy dress can also slow runners.
In 2024 the event reached a record field, with both the 10K and the Half Marathon selling out some weeks before the race. On-site facilities include car parking within the Denbies grounds, with two main car parks and a third overflow area; parking is free for competitors and spectators and is about a five minute walk from the start/finish area and the main building. Marshals direct vehicles on arrival.
The vineyard is also accessible by public transport. Dorking Station is a short walk of less than 1 km to the entrance and Box Hill & Westhumble Station is under 2 km on foot to a footpath into the estate. Reports from past editions mention water and food stations, the finish party and occasional crowding at some pitstops. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
