Australian Alpine Ascent - Event details

The Australian Alpine Ascent is a trail running festival in Kosciuszko National Park, scheduled for 14 February 2026 at The Stables Resort Perisher, Perisher Valley NSW. The event is organised by Elite Energy and includes multiple race distances. Early bird registration is listed as open from 21 May to 24 October, with recorded early-bird fees of $287 for the 80 km, $238 for the 55 km, and $165 for the 27 km.

Courses include aid stations on all event routes offering water and energy drink. The event provides timing chips and publishes results on event day. There is sanctioning, technical support and insurance through triathlon NSW. Traffic control or partial road closures and police or professional traffic control personnel will be present at major intersections, subject to local authority approvals. Event services listed also include finisher medals, event apparel (hoodies, long-sleeve tees, caps), post-event snacks and recovery nutrition, and support from local sport and charity groups.
