Arrowhead Endurance Run
The Arrowhead Endurance Run takes place October 10–11, 2026 at Arrowhead Lake Campground in Johnston City, Illinois. The event uses a certified 2.07 mile loop around the lake. The trail surface is about 99% gravel with a short concrete section at the boat ramp, and each loop has under 50 feet of elevation change. Chip timing is provided by SoILL Racing.
Race formats offered include:
- 24 Hour race and 24 Hour relay
- 12 hour races including a night-time 12 hour
- 6 hour race
- 3 hour race
Event services and awards are provided on site. Packet pickup is held at the pavilion near the start/finish to the right of the boat dock. Finishers registered before the shirt deadline of 9/27/26 receive event shirts. Runners who complete at least one official lap receive a custom medal. Buckles are awarded to participants who reach 100 miles in the 24 hour race before the cutoff. Overall winners in each race receive a special award.
There is one large aid station at the start/finish with typical items such as chips, candy, fruit, cookies, electrolytes, water, and hot food; aid station food is for participants only. Competitors may set up personal pop-up tents or aid tables on race day morning. Camping is available at the campground and hotel options exist in Johnston City and nearby Marion. Entry fees are non-refundable; a pregnancy deferral to the following year is available. Discounts are offered for active military, veterans, and first responders.
