Event Details

The Arrowhead Endurance Run takes place on October 10-11, 2026 in Johnston City, Illinois. The event offers six race formats: a 24 Hour individual race, a 24 Hour Relay, a daytime 12hrs race, a 12 hour - NIGHT TIME race, a 6hrs race, and a 3 Hour Race.

Course

The course is a certified 2.07-mile loop around Arrowhead Lake at the Arrowhead Lake Campground. The trail is mostly gravel with a small concrete section on a boat ramp. There is less than 50 feet of elevation change per loop. Chip timing is provided.

Amenities and Awards

The event has one large aid station at the start/finish area offering standard fare, snacks, electrolyte drinks, water, and hot food options. Participants may set up their own tents or aid stations on race day morning.

All finishers registered before the shirt deadline of September 27, 2026 will receive a shirt. Every runner who completes at least one official lap receives a custom medal. Buckles are awarded for completing 100 miles within the 24-hour race cutoff. Overall winners in each race receive a special award.

Registration and Policies

Registration is open for 2026 and closes on Friday, October 9 at 11:59 PM CT. Entry fees are non-refundable and non-transferable to another year. A pregnancy deferral policy allows 100% deferral to the following year. Active military, veterans, and first responders can contact the organizers for a discount code. Ondessonk Trail Races on April 11, 2026 at Camp Ondessonk in Ozark, Illinois features a half marathon, Manchester 10k, 5k, and a one-mile fun run around Lake Echon for families.
