Arrochar 10k : 19 September 2026

The Arrochar 10k is a varied-terrain road and trail race held near Arrochar, Argyll, around Loch Long. The event is organised by the Loch Long Jetty Association under UK Athletics rules and holds a Scottish Athletics permit. Chip timing is provided by Perfect Timing. All finishers receive a medal and prizes are awarded in men, women, local and veteran categories.

The course starts on a track, continues onto a forestry road that contains the only significant hill, then descends to Ardgarten via a forest path. Runners cross the A83 trunk road at a designated point and must take precautions at this crossing. After more forest paths, the second half follows pavement alongside Loch Long with views of Arrochar and Ben Lomond. Prize giving and homemade cakes take place afterwards in Arrochar Village Hall.

Entry is open to runners aged 16 years or older on race day who are eligible under Scottish Athletics rules and physically fit to run 10 km. Runners participate at their own risk. Other organiser conditions include no running on the road, no headphones, entries non-transferable and not deferrable, internet entry refunds within 14 days, and compliance with any Covid rules still in place. Entry fees are £26 discounted and £28 standard; the event has 225 total places. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
