Arrochar 10k - 19 Sep 2026

The Arrochar 10k is a varied-terrain 10 km race held on a scenic route in Arrochar, Argyll. The event is organised by the Loch Long Jetty Association under UK Athletics rules and holds a Scottish Athletics permit. Chip timing is provided by Perfect Timing. A medal is awarded to all finishers and prizes are given in men, women, local and veteran categories. There is a prize-giving event afterwards in Arrochar Village Hall with homemade cakes.

The course begins on a track, continues onto a forestry road that contains the only significant hill in the race, and then descends via forest paths to Ardgarten. Runners must cross the A83 trunk road at one point and should take all necessary precautions. After more forest paths the second half runs on pavement alongside Loch Long with views of Arrochar and Ben Lomond.

Entry and race rules include the following: entrants must be at least 16 years old on race day, be eligible to compete under Scottish Athletics rules, and be physically fit to run 10 kilometres. Runners take part at their own risk; organisers accept no liability for loss or injury arising from participation. Runners must follow marshal directions, not run on the road, and must not wear headphones. Entries are non-transferable and may not be deferred. Internet entries can be cancelled for a refund within 14 days of the original entry date. Organisers may use entrants' names, images and quotes for promotional purposes.

Total places are limited to 225. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
