Another Round 25K : overview

Another Round 25K is scheduled for October 10, 2026 at Jockey's Ridge State Park in Nags Head. The event consists of five 5K loops run once per hour for a total of 25K. The course is a 5K loop with a shared start/finish line and includes a small portion of dune to cross. Individual and team entries are offered. Teams of two alternate 5K loops so one teammate completes three loops and the other completes two; running only one 5K is not allowed.

Logistics, timing and rules

All loops are chip timed and results are based on total cumulative time. Participants must complete each 5K loop within 55 minutes; anyone who misses the hourly cutoff will not continue and only finished laps will appear in results. Awards are given by cumulative time: top three overall male and female individuals, and top three teams in co-ed, all male, and all female categories. Every participant receives a t-shirt, a custom finisher medal, drinks and snacks; food and beer will also be available for purchase. Event parking is in the state park lot; bathrooms and a refueling area at the start/finish will be available. Tents, coolers, and grills are permitted. A festive spectator area, food vendors, music, and beach and swimming access are on site; spectators who plan to swim must use the sound-area parking. Strollers and pets are not allowed on the 5K loops for participants. A portion of proceeds will go to Friends of Jockeys Ridge. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
