ANC Critter Crawl Yeti Dash

Event overview

The Alabama Nature Center (ANC) at Lanark in Millbrook, Alabama will host the Critter Crawl on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The event is a trail running fundraiser that benefits ANC education programs and uses a portion of the center’s five-mile trail system. Two organized runs take place: a trail 5K and the Yeti Dash, a one-mile trail run. Nature or critter costumes are mandatory for anyone who wishes to be eligible for a Yeti Dash medal; one medal is awarded to the first place finisher in each age-group category.

Online registration has closed, but day-of walk-up registration is available. Registration fees are listed as: pre-register 5K $25 and Yeti Dash $20; day-of 5K $30 and Yeti Dash $25. Shirts are guaranteed for participants who register before January 31, 2026; extras may be limited. Race packets may be picked up Friday, Feb. 20 from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, and the course is open that afternoon for preview. The event will include music, food, vendors, a door-prize giveaway and a trophy ceremony. Parking is in the pavilion meadow.
