Roll of the Dice - Wetumpka, AL
Roll of the Dice is a random-distance trail race scheduled for January 23, 2027, in Wetumpka, AL. At the start the organizers roll dice; the number rolled determines how many laps each participant will run on a single loop course of about 3.12 miles.
The course is a single loop of smooth, runnable dirt singletrack. The minimum possible total distance is 3.12 miles and the maximum possible total distance is 18.72 miles; distances are not guaranteed to be exact.
Aid and facilities are concentrated at the start/finish of the loop. The aid station is cupless, so participants must bring a container for hydration. Water and electrolytes will be available at that station, and pizza will be provided at the finish. Restrooms are available in the parking lot adjacent to the trailhead. Participants may stop at a vehicle or personal aid station between laps to collect supplies.
There are no refunds for the event. The absolute cutoff is six hours after the start, though organizers may set a shorter cutoff if the race distance is considerably shorter. The event is planned to run rain or shine; if weather forces cancellation there will be no makeup date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
