Roll of the Dice in Wetumpka, AL
Roll of the Dice is a random distance trail race held on a single loop of smooth, runnable dirt singletrack near Boat Ramp Road in Wetumpka, Alabama. The loop measures about 3.12 miles. At the start a dice is rolled to determine how many laps each participant will run, so the total race distance is not fixed. The minimum possible distance is 3.12 miles and the maximum possible distance is 18.72 miles; distances are not guaranteed to be exact.
The event uses one cupless aid station located at the loop start and finish. Water and electrolyte drink will be available there during the race. Participants must bring a personal container for hydration, such as a collapsible cup, handheld bottle, belt, or vest. Runners may stop at their vehicle or a personal aid station between laps to pick up supplies. Restrooms are available in the parking lot adjacent to the trailhead. Pizza will be provided at the finish.
Organizers state there are no refunds. The event has an absolute time cutoff set at six hours after the start and may use a shorter cutoff if the race distance is much shorter than the maximum. The event is planned to run in rain or shine, and a cancellation would not have a makeup date. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
