Alpstein Crossing

The Alpstein Crossing is an exciting Hike&Fly team race in the picturesque Appenzellerland, bringing together paragliding and trail running enthusiasts. Participants are tasked with collecting as many turnpoints as possible within 8 hours, either on foot or by paraglider, and returning to the home base in Weissbad. There are two categories: trail running and Hike&Fly, both competing for the best points. With a route of around 30 km of flying and over 4000 meters of elevation gain while running, the event offers a unique challenge for athletes and fosters a sense of community in the region.
