The Alpstein Crossing is a crazy team competition in the Appenzell Alpstein, where participants either run or paraglide to collect as many turnpoints as possible within 8 hours. There are two categories: Trail Running and Hike & Fly. New in 2024 is the pure Trail Running category, which is offered in addition to the Hike & Fly category. The race covers 30 km of flight distance and 4000 meters of running distance, with participants having to conquer the "Kraken of Alpstein."
