A Day in The Park - Lebanon, OH

A Day in The Park is a timed ultrarunning event produced by Empower Ultras at Miller Ecological Park in Lebanon, Ohio. The event uses a USTAF certified one mile loop (OH24030JHP) on crushed gravel with minimal elevation and park views. The loop provides ample space to set up a tent along the course.

Available race formats include:

  • 24 hour timed event
  • 100 mile race option
  • 6 hour option added in 2025

A central aid station is located at the start/finish area and provides typical ultrarunning fare plus a rotating menu of breakfast, lunch, and dinner items such as fresh fruit smoothies, pancakes, avocado wraps, and popsicles. Organizers will post a single official result per athlete: either a 100 mile time or a 24 hour distance, depending on what the athlete chooses during the event.

Participants receive personalized swag and a locally made award produced in Ohio by a local artist. Runners who complete 100 miles or more receive a belt buckle. There are no refunds. Packet pickup occurs at the start/finish area on Friday from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm and Saturday from 5:30 am to 6:30 am.

The event statement notes inclusivity for runners of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, and abilities, and offers Athletes With Disability divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
