About the race
Remembrance Run takes place at Ferry Meadows, a large country park within Nene Park near Peterborough. The event is organised around a 5.3 km loop that uses traffic-free park paths and some grass trail sections. The loop is described as mostly firm sealed or tarmac paths with about 18 percent softer trail, 17 metres of climb, and a small elevation range (high 15 m, low 3 m). The organiser describes the lap as easy and PB-friendly; one lap equals approximately 5 km and the course stacks cleanly for longer distances. The event is offered in either a 6-hour or a 4-hour format.
Standard lap-based examples given by the organiser include: - 5.3 km loop one lap - Heavy half marathon typically 5 laps - Ultra marathon typically 9 laps with options to increase laps Race HQ is at the Lakeside Centre on the watersports side of the park, with the base camp and aid station at the start/lap point. A GPX file for the course is available from the course tab. The event is cupless so no disposable cups are provided, and parking at the park is chargeable.
A bespoke event medal is issued unless a different finisher medal option is chosen. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
