Big Blue Trail Run
The XTERRA Lake Tahoe 5K and 10K trail runs start and finish at the Village Green in Incline Village, NV. From the venue the course heads north onto a trail network that passes through tall pines and aspens and includes creek crossings. The 5K is one lap of the marked route and the 10K is two laps; the second lap returns to the venue and creates a viewing area for spectators.
Organizers produce the runs in conjunction with the XTERRA Lake Tahoe triathlon. Nevada State Parks and Nevada Public Works closed several trails in the Spooner Backcountry due to the Marlette Lake Dam Resilient Infrastructure Project. Because of those closures and after exploring reroute options, the organizers did not schedule an event in 2025 and plan to resume in 2026.

Entry fees are listed with tiered pricing depending on registration timing, for example $55 to $65 for the 5K and 10K, and $50 to $60 for youth and seniors. Race inclusions listed by the organizer include an event T-shirt, free digital photo, finisher medal, medical staff, and cold beverages and snacks. Awards are given overall and by age group.
