SFRC Women's Trail Half Marathon presented by The North Face
The event is a women's trail half marathon in the Marin Headlands near Mill Valley, California. The course is 13.6 miles with about 2,156 ft of climbing, including two major Headlands climbs, rolling singletrack, coastal ridgelines, and views of the Pacific, San Francisco Bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge. The course has a 5.5 hour cutoff.
Support and race services include scheduled packet pickup on October 22 and 23 from 12:00pm to 6:00pm at San Francisco Running Company (247 Shoreline Hwy, Mill Valley). There is no race day packet pickup; a friend or family member may collect a packet with a registration confirmation or signed note. Dogs are not allowed on the course.
Preparation resources are provided through a coaching partnership that includes a tailored training plan, three live virtual coaching sessions, a complimentary one-on-one consultation, and a follow-up discount for individualized coaching. Four no-drop community group runs are scheduled and will offer demo shoes and on-course nutrition samples. Chartered shuttle service is offered for runners traveling from San Francisco.
Accessibility and athlete support features include twenty $250 childcare grants for participating mothers, menstrual products at all aid stations, and a one-time pregnancy and postpartum deferral option with advance notice. Prize recognition includes a total purse of $25,000 allocated to top finishers. Post-race activities gather at The Junction in Mill Valley for food, drinks, and awards.
