Wolfdog Moon - Fort Worth
Wolfdog Moon is a nighttime running event held in downtown Fort Worth under the full moon. The event features a loop cross-country course that runs along the Trinity River and uses a grassy jeep track in the city center near 492 N Taylor Street.
The surface is mostly grass and gravel with some pavement. The route begins with a long asphalt straightaway followed by a grassy section; runners cross the river and can see the moon rising above the city. Each loop includes a single climb. The event is organized as loop distances: one loop for 5K and two loops for 10K.
Amenities include water on course and water, sports drink, and snacks at the start/finish area. Participants receive a custom full-color bib, chip timing, full-color T-shirts (registration by August 16 guarantees size), and custom finisher medals. Age group and overall awards are provided. Donations from the event benefit a local Wolfdog Sanctuary. Entry fees listed for the distances are $25 for the 5K and $35 for the 10K.
