Wilde Family 5000m Handicap
The Wilde Family 5000m Handicap is a community cross-country race held on private land on Greenacres Road in Moyston. The event is sponsored by the Wilde Family and incorporates fundraising and awareness for R U OK? Day. Participants are encouraged to wear yellow and to bring a gold coin donation. Parking and the event base are located in the car park on the Wilde Family property.
The program includes separate junior races and an adult 5000 metre handicap. There is a race safety briefing before the adult event. A post-race morning tea is provided to mark R U OK? Day. Trophies and prizes are awarded: a trophy donated by the Wilde family, a sash presented by the club, and prize money for first, second and third places.
Registration is available online or on the day, with an on-the-day adult entry fee of $5. The event listing refers to local tracks and reserves in the Moyston area.
