Wild Flowers 10K
The Wild Flowers 10K is a women only trail race held in Auburn, California. The course starts at the Auburn Overlook and follows a loop of single-track sections, rolling stretches, and a mix of downhills and climbs. The route includes viewpoints and two fully stocked aid stations. Organizers will have crew directing the course.
Each 10K finisher receives a Wild Flowers race tee. Overall prizes are given to the top three finishers, and age division awards go to the top three in the following groups: 18-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, and 75 and over. Additional travel prizes to Spain will be awarded by placement and by random draw among finishers; winners must obtain or show a passport within 30 days or an alternate finisher will be drawn.
Packet pickup is scheduled the day before at Wild Runners Auburn and on race day at the starting area. Parking options include Railhead Park, nearby neighborhood streets, the high school, and two public lots in Old Town Auburn; parking in Old Town may require up to a one mile walk to the start.
Event rules note that entries are non refundable and non transferable, no strollers or animals are allowed on course, no pacers, and no leg or foot casts. Friends may pick up packets and register for others. The organizer also mentions a novelty appearance by Sasquatch who may cheer or appear in photos.
