Wicked Rogaines Spring Series

Wicked Rogaines runs a series of rogaining events in October and November 2026 across the Port Hills and other Christchurch locations. Scheduled dates include 14 and 21 October, 28 October at Taylors Mistake, and 4 and 11 November at Mt Vernon Farm Park and Adventure Park respectively. A separate Wicked 6 hour Spring Rogaine is also listed for 8 November as to be confirmed.

Rogaining is a timed, cross country navigation sport where teams of two to five members visit as many checkpoints as possible in the allowed time. Shorter duration events may allow solo competitors. Checkpoints carry different scores depending on how difficult they are to reach, so teams choose a strategy and plan routes accordingly. Teams travel entirely on foot and navigate by map and compass through terrain that ranges from open farmland to hilly forest. Team members remain within earshot of each other.

The events are described as fun afterwork rogaines and aim to be accessible to a wide range of participants. Organisers state that anybody with a moderate level of fitness can take part and that a high level of navigation skill is not required. Free basic navigation help is offered for first timers. The series includes visits to different parts of the Port Hills each week. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
