Punk Panther Wharfedale Skyline

Punk Panther Wharfedale Skyline is a trail running event on 14 November 2026 that follows routes around Wharfedale near Otley, Ilkley and Guiseley. The event offers multiple distances, a maximum of 200 entrants, and a minimum age of 18.

Distances and key metrics:

  • 13 miles climb 1700 feet ITRA 1 UTMB Q20K
  • 20 miles climb 2800 feet ITRA 1 UTMB Q20K
  • 35 miles climb 4800 feet ITRA 2 UTMB Q50K

The route passes local landmarks including Otley Chevin’s Surprise View, the Cow and Calf Rocks in Ilkley, and Lindley Wood Reservoir. Provisional GPX files and a route description are provided in advance; the final route and instructions are emailed to competitors and may include last minute diversions. Routes will be taped and signed before race day but tape can move or be removed, so runners should use maps as primary navigation.

All ultramarathon entrants receive a tracker; half marathon and 20 mile entrants may hire a tracker for a fee. Checkpoints provide water, cola, energy bars and crisps with vegan and gluten free options. A standard kit list applies to all distances and random kit checks may be carried out on course. Dogs are permitted subject to the event rules and safety support runners are allowed. Finishers receive a medal and an event T-shirt unless they opt out; hot food and drinks are available at the finish. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
