About the race
The Wetherby 10K is a chip timed road and off‑road event held at Wetherby Racecourse in West Yorkshire on 19 September 2027. The race covers 10 km over a single lap on a multi‑terrain, predominantly flat course and has an entry limit of 750 runners. Competitors must be at least 15 years old on the day; the course is not suitable for wheelchair athletes.
The organisers provide a range of on-site facilities at Race HQ, including a large car park, portaloo toilets stocked with sanitary products, distance markers, a halfway water stop and marshals along the route. There is professional chip timing by Racebest, medical cover, and a commemorative large mug for all finishers. There are no changing facilities, no showers and no baggage storage.
A family Mini Marathon of 1.6 miles runs on the same day; mini-marathon entries are accepted on the day for a fee and there is no formal lower age limit, though children under seven must run with a paying parent or guardian. Earphones worn over or in the ear are not permitted unless prior approval is obtained from the Race Director; bone conducting earphones that do not cover the ear are allowed. Race information is distributed as a digital race pack emailed to participants two weeks before the event. Transfers are permitted in advance via the event entry system.
