Wentworth Falls Trail Run

The event is a trail running race based at the Fairmont Resort in Wentworth Falls, within the Blue Mountains National Park, held on 21 March 2027. The marked course uses single trails, stairs and firetrail sections, and passes viewpoints including Wentworth Falls and Mt. Solitary. The start and finish are at the Fairmont Resort.

Two distance options are offered:

  • 11 km, +545 m elevation
  • 16 km, +645 m elevation

Aid stations and on-course services are described as follows. Aid Station 1 at the Conservation Hut provides water and fruit. Aid Station 2 at Chester Rd provides water, fruit and electrolyte. There will be no single-use cups at aid stations; runners are required to carry at least 500 mL of water from the start and bring their own collapsible cup or flask if needed. The event enforces a "No Water No Result" rule.

The route includes Lilian’s Bridge, Shortcut Track, the top of the falls, Fletcher’s Lookout, Undercliff and Overcliff Tracks, and finishes with an uphill return to the Fairmont. Course marshals are positioned at key points and volunteers support aid stations and safety.

Additional details: parking is available complimentary at the Fairmont Resort car park with on-site registration, toilets are at the race hub and the Conservation Hut, and race results are posted on Tempus Timing after the event. There are competitor limits and no on-the-day entries. Age rules generally require entrants to be 16 years or older, with exceptions for 14 to 16 year olds on shorter courses subject to parental or coach consent.
