Welsh 3 Peaks Race 2027
The Welsh 3 Peaks Race is a continuous multi day mountain race of 295 km with 13,700 m of ascent. The event is scheduled for 20 September 2027 and is based at Llanderis, Y Ganolfan with event headquarters at the Llanberis Community Centre. Entrants may compete solo or as teams of three or five. The overall time limit is five days (120 hours). The event is fully tracked, timed and monitored and offers indoor rest areas and outdoor feed stations along the route.
The route runs from Llanberis to Storey Arms and crosses several mountain ranges including Yr Wyddfa, Moelwyn, Rhinogau, Cadair Idris, the Cambrian Mountains and the Camarthen Fans, with the final climb of Pen y Fan before the finish. The organiser provides support staff and up to 25 mountain leaders. The event limits entries to 150 participants and includes seven indoor checkpoints and three outdoor support stations.
