WausaUltra Solo, Double, Limitless : Wausau, WI : May 7–9, 2027
WausaUltra takes place at Sylvan Park in Wausau, Wisconsin across May 7–9, 2027 and offers three main race formats on the same looped trail course.
The course is a 4.167-mile mostly-trail loop with varied terrain: gravel approaches, single-track sections, several climbs including a tubing-hill climb, a school-property stretch with flatter running, and creek crossings with small bridges. A central start/finish home base provides space for participant tents, aid, bathroom facilities, and parking, and is accessible every loop.
Race formats and distances:
- Limitless: repeated 4.167-mile loops until one runner remains or the event ends.
- Solo: one 4.167-mile loop.
- Double: two 4.167-mile loops (8.334 miles).
- Kids race: expected under 0.5 mile, free for children 12 and under.
Eligibility and fees: Solo, Double, and Limitless entrants must be 18 or older on race day, or under 18 with a parent or guardian present. Entry fees listed are $200 for Limitless, $55 for Solo, and $65 for Double. The kids race is free.
Registration opens January 2, 2027 and closes May 5, 2027; there are no race day sign-ups. Registrations are final with no deferrals or refunds, though transfers to another individual are permitted and switching from Limitless to Solo or Double is allowed without a refund of the fee difference.
The described loop may be adjusted prior to race day but will remain a 4.167-mile trail course with notable climbs and a central home base. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
