Wango Tango
Wango Tango is a combined trail running and mountain bike endurance event on the City Lake trail system in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. The program pairs trail running with a four hour mountain bike endurance race offered in solo and team relay formats.
The trail running program includes these distances:
- 5K trail run
- 10K trail run
The mountain bike endurance race features solo and relay categories for two and four person teams, junior divisions, and class 1 E bike solo categories. Trail run awards include top overall male and female finishers and age group awards. Mountain bike awards cover solo male and female, junior divisions, 2 and 4 person relays in male, female and coed formats, plus E bike solo categories. Trophies are given to the top three finishers in each category.
Registration fees listed for the event are $30 for the 5K, $40 for the 10K, and $50 for mountain bike entries with a junior mountain bike entry fee of $30. The race will be electronically timed. Mountain bike competitors are required to wear a helmet and must carry at least one light source to compete. All participants must sign a waiver; minors require a parent or guardian signature.
Food, snacks, and water are provided for participants. Participant parking must use designated areas and bike racks are provided in the pit area. Proceeds benefit the Borderline chapter of the Ozark Off Road Cyclists and volunteer trail advocacy in Western Benton and Washington Counties.
