Waneka Classic 5K
The Waneka Classic 5K is a free, timed 5K open to the public in Lafayette, Colorado. The event takes place in the Waneka Lake area near 1600 Caria Dr and is scheduled before the Centaurus Cross Country Invitational. The race uses a course that student cross country teams also use, and spectators can watch those races on the same route.
Parking is available throughout the Waneka Lake residential neighborhood and at Centaurus High School. Participants and visitors are asked to respect posted signs and not block driveways.
Dogs are not allowed at the event; service dogs are permitted. Strollers are allowed, and stroller users are asked to start at the back of the field to reduce congestion and confusion.
Proceeds from the concessions stand and T shirt sales benefit the Centaurus Cross Country Team. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
