Virginia Run for Cancer, April 24, 2027
Virginia Run for Cancer is a 24HR SOLO and 24HR TEAM endurance event held in Hampton, VA at 1255 Big Bethel Road. The race takes place on a flat, 3.75 mile all dirt nature park trail and the course is USATF certified (VA12075RT).
Awards include special engraved plaques for 1st place male, 1st place female, 1st place team, and top fundraiser. Wooden plaques are given to runners who complete the following distances:
- 50 miles
- 62.5 miles
- 75 miles
- 100 miles
- 125 miles
All entrants receive technical T shirts. The event also recognizes long term participation with 500-Mile Club jackets and 1000-mile buckles. Volunteer lap counters are provided and on site liquid refreshments are available; runners are expected to bring their own food and personal hydration. Pizza may be provided for dinner. Walkers of all abilities are welcome.
Team registration allows teammates to register individually and note their team and team captain during registration. The team with the highest total miles receives its name on a perpetuity plaque passed to the next year. Registration opens January 1, is limited to 200 entrants, and the registration fee is $75 for both individual and team members. Pacers are allowed after dark.
