Veterans' Honor Run: 22 Hours of Tribute

The Veterans' Honor Run is a 22-hour tribute event held at Heritage Park in Canton Township, Michigan on November 7–8, 2026. The event represents the roughly 20-22 veterans lost to suicide each day and combines in-person and virtual participation to raise funds for veteran-support organizations.

The course is a paved loop at Heritage Park of approximately 1 mile with minimal hills. Participants may start, stop, and take breaks as needed; the event follows a "choose your own challenge" format that accommodates walkers and runners at any pace. In-person participants are chip-timed with upgraded timing infrastructure for 2026. Virtual runners must track and submit mileage by November 10 to receive official credit.

Support at the site includes designated base camp areas for tents near the parking lot, free parking adjacent to the start/finish area with vehicle-side access, and a well-stocked aid station offering hot food, snacks, and coffee. Safety measures require a personal headlamp or running light for periods of darkness. The run takes place regardless of weather conditions.

Fundraising for 2026 aims for $22,000, with primary beneficiaries listed as Guitars for Vets, Therapeutic Riding Inc., and Leashes of Valor; about 80% of event proceeds go to beneficiaries. Participants receive event gifts and a finisher award for completing the full 22 hours. Volunteer opportunities and fundraising options are provided to support the event and its causes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
