About the race
The Vancouver Spirit Run, presented by TRIGATE PROPERTIES GROUP, is a mass participation cross country and trail running event held at Jericho Beach Park in Vancouver, BC. The event is sanctioned by BC Athletics and includes races for elite athletes, competitive age groups, youth categories and families.
The course starts on a large grass field and continues onto trails composed of crushed gravel, bark mulch and grass. The route has on-course features such as straw bales and for the 2026 event the course will follow the gravel paths. There is ample parking, both free and paid, and the start line is located in the center of the grass field adjacent to the beach.
Race distances span short youth loops to longer senior races, including:
- 1 km Family Fun Run
- 1 km U9
- 1.5 km U10
- 2 km U11
- 2 km U12
- 3 km U14
- 3 km U16
- 5 km U18
- 8 km U20 / Open / Masters
The event supports British Columbia high school and university athletes through charitable donations and scholarship programs, is part of the Lower Mainland Cross Country Series, and provides prize awards for placement and participation.
