Uwharrie 100 Mile and 100K Trail Run - Troy, NC
The Uwharrie 100 Mile and 100K Trail Run takes place in the Uwharrie National Forest on October 17-18, 2026. The course is a 20.5 mile figure 8 loop of technical trails with roots and rocks under a forest canopy. The event uses repeated laps of this loop to form the race distances.
Registration is limited to 150 total runners across both races. Because of the course technicality both events have a 36 hour cutoff. The 100 mile field requires runners to have previously completed a 50 mile event within that race’s established time limit; as exceptions, specific qualifying races are accepted. Questions about qualifying races should be directed to the race organizer.
Key entry and policy details include a shirt-size guarantee for runners registered by September 15, 2026; a 50% refund policy for withdrawals requested by May 1, 2026; and deferment requests considered case-by-case until September 1, 2026. If granted, a deferment may be used one time to roll a registration to the following year. In certain life circumstances the organizer may offer 100% credit toward the next year’s race.
Minors must have parental consent on the registration platform. No athlete under 16 years of age on the event date will be allowed to participate. The event is authorized under a Special Use Permit for the Uwharrie National Forest. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
