Unbroken - Team Trail Marathon
Unbroken is a team-based trail event held over Easter weekend, Saturday March 27 to Sunday March 28, 2027, at Hilliard State School with course access in the Scribbly Gums Conservation Area at Redlands Track Park, Alexandra Hills, QLD. Teams keep moving through day and night until all required laps are completed, with a maximum of 24 hours allowed to complete each event distance.
The core course is a 14 km loop run alternately anticlockwise and clockwise as teams progress. Race formats and options include:
- 14 km individual loop event
- 28 km teams option (each team runner completes two loops)
- 42 km marathon teams (teams of four, each runner completes three loops)
- 84 km ultra teams (teams of two, each runner completes six loops)
- 1.8 km junior event
Facilities in the event precinct include glamping and BYO tent sites, a relay exchange zone, hall with shelter, tables and chairs, canteen, toilets and hot showers, coffee van and food trucks. A manned aid station will be located mid-loop; it will be self-serve at night and runners must be self-sufficient when dark. The event operates as cupless so competitors must carry their own drinking vessel and provide their own nutrition. Qualified first aid staff will be positioned adjacent to the finish chute and on course. There is no bag drop; competitors should use their camping area or vehicle for belongings. Entries open August 1, and finishers receive a timber medal, technical tee, and selected event items. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
