Ultratrax Schuylkill Trail
Ultratrax Schuylkill Trail is a single day endurance walking event held at the Schuylkill Center in northwest Philadelphia. Participants choose from loop-based distances and aim to complete their chosen distance within a 10 hour finish window to earn event patches or medals.
The course is a rolling, forest-driven route that uses winding singletrack, ridgelines, fire roads, and technical rocky sections. The route passes through dense hardwood forest, ponds, open meadows, and natural clearings, with steady elevation gain and a listed elevation gain of 869 ft per 7 mile loop. The site sits on 365 acres of fields, forests, and streams and is described as minutes from the city.
Available distances
- 7 miles, one full loop
- 14 miles, two loops
- 21 miles, three loops
- 28 miles, four loops
Rucking options are available at each level; participants may carry 10, 20, or 35 pounds by bringing their own vest or weighted pack, which will be weighed on site. The event provides well marked trails, timed tracking, staffed aid stations, professional photos, and a trail pack that includes a commemorative patch and finisher shirt. Level 3 and 4 finishers earn the Grey Wolf Medal. A portion of registrations supports the Schuylkill Center for Environmental Education.
