Tywarnhayle 10K 2026
The Tywarnhayle 10K is part of Cornwall's Multi-Terrain Race Series and is scheduled for Sunday 4th October 2026. The event is marked as sold out and places are limited to 230 runners because of course and HQ constraints.
The race starts from Mount Hawke cricket club and follows coastal and inland footpaths. The route includes coast path around Chapel Porth, a return toward Porthtowan, and a loop around Tywarnhayle mine. The course uses public footpaths that are generally open. Participants can expect technical descents, muddy sections, and a short river crossing to run up. The route is available on Strava and on Ordnance Survey maps.
There is also a children's event called the Twarnhayle24. After the adults' race, children run around the starting field for 24 minutes to see who completes the most laps. The children's race is open to all ages up to 15 years; each participant receives a medal and a small treat.
Organisers will donate £1 per runner to the National Trust for use of their land. A full runners briefing will be issued by email the week before the race and updates are posted on the event Facebook group. Entry transfers can be made via SiEntries for an admin fee until the end of 2nd October. UKA licence ARC/26/0754 applies.
