Arc of Attrition by UTMB
Arc of Attrition by UTMB is a coastal ultra running event centred on Perranporth in Cornwall, UK, with courses on the South West Coast Path. The race weekend features multiple distances that use rugged cliffside trails and coastal terrain.
The event takes place each January and offers a range of race options:
- Arc 100M: 173 km, 5507 m+ elevation
- Arc 100K: 82.7 km, 2708 m+ elevation
- Arc 50K: 49.4 km, 1458 m+ elevation
- Arc 20K: 22.1 km, 744 m+ elevation
Courses include steep and uneven paths, sustained climbs and exposure to winter coastal weather. The races are organised within the UTMB World Series framework and carry Running Stones credit as listed for each distance. Since its launch in 2015 the event has expanded from a single 100 mile race with about 50 starters to a multi-distance weekend covering 20 km through 100 mile options.
